Hallo,
Betriebsystem: High Sierra 10.13.6
Short in English:
Hello,
I bought a picture and can´t open it after download. It has got the ending ".ai"
What can I do? Thank you in advance!
Kerstin,
If you want to select only JPG files, you need to filter your search on Adobe Stock and select " Photos" as shown in the screenshot below:
Also, below each asset, you will be able to see the "dimensions" and the "file type".
Since you have licensed the image by mistake(not knowing the file type), please share the file ID and I will add 1 image license to your account so that you can use it against a different image(for licensing the correct file type).
Feel free to update this thread in cas

Hello EBQ,
Thank you very much for your answer!
Herewith please find the asset and its ID. What can be done if I haven’t got Adobe Illustrator? I would like to download two more assets of this kind using them for a private Christmas card.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
K.J.

Hi Kerstin,
Sorry to hear that you are facing issues with an Adobe Stock file.
I have downloaded the file and opened it in both Illustrator and Photoshop and did not encounter any issues.
The vector files work the best with Illustrator only but can be used in Photoshop as a rasterised image.
However, if you do not have Illustrator, rather than subscribing the app you can always use the 7-day trial version(in order to use the vector file you have downloaded from Adobe Stock).
You may use this link to download the trial version of Illustrator: Download a free trial or buy Adobe products | Adobe free trials & downloads
If you still face any issues please share some screenshots so that we can assist you further.
Regards,
Twarita

Thank you, Twarita, for your efforts and answer!
As it is for private use only, I do not have Illustrator or Photoshop on my computer. Why aren’t these pictures provided as a jpg (perhaps optional), that would not cause any problem. Another one I bought and downloaded came as a jpg and it was ok. Perhaps you can transfer this one into a jpg and send it via e-mail?
If not every picture can be provided in a jpg format, how can I see what sort of file a picture is before I am going to license it?
Thanks once more for your reply!
Kind regards,
Kerstin
