Designer 12.4.1 (bugfix version) has been released!

A new version of Substance 3D Designer (12.4.1) has been released today in order to solve a few issues,

What's new?
[Cooker][Graph] Take in account EXIF transformation tags in JPEG file
[Security] Upgrade to USD 23.02

[Substance models] Warning about the end of life of Substance model graphs in the next major version

What has been fixed?
[3D View][ASM] Coating roughness artefact when using a CoatNormal
[Content] 'Gradient Filled Cells' parameter of Alveolus node is inverted
[Content] Input Number of Multi-Switch nodes is not clamped
[Content] Cooking warning in Scratches Generator Normal node
[Data] Crash when loading package manually after undoing its previous load
[Data] Crash when quickly undoing a multiple graph operations up to the package load

We would like to inform you about a significant change coming to Substance 3D Designer. As indicated in the changelog, the current version of Designer will be the last one to support Substance model graphs. This decision has been made to streamline our focus on Material creation and enhance the user experience.

Our team has closely analyzed user feedback and adoption rates for the feature, and we've come to the conclusion that Designer is not the optimal platform for procedural geometry within the Substance 3D ecosystem. To fully concentrate on delivering cutting-edge features and improvements for Material artists, we have made the pragmatic decision to cease development of Substance model graphs and remove the feature from Designer entirely. This will allow us to move forward without constraints and dedicate our resources to areas that better serve our users.

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support in this matter. Please stay tuned for future releases, as we continue to innovate and enhance the Designer experience for Material artists.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks for the update and for the warning on the future of model graphs. Can this notice be pinned as a separate thread at the top of the forum with a very visible title. It is important that as much notice as possible is given to those that do use it. Experience with the removal of functionality in other Adobe apps (e.g. Photoshop) shows that without good and visible noticing, the forums are inundated the day the function is removed.

Removing COLLADA support in Designer is... 'security' ?
I mean, is DAE support is just silently dropped forever?
(it's still mentioned as supported in latest documenttion)
