Thanks for sharing, you should set the Sample Gray node in the pixel processor to Bilinear for smoother results.

 

I made a similar node that rotates and scales around a chosen point in this reply:

You also may be interested in the Non-Uniform Rotation node. A flat grayscale value will rotate all the image uniformly, then you can play around with variations!
