Stock instance package updates made public

I have a plugin that utilises stock instance nodes. but at some point it would end up adding old graphs(nodes) to scene if we arent ever made aware that stock instance packages have updated as the plugin requires users to update the stored graph name as and when it gets updated by you guys.

So if you could make this info publicly available that'll be great!

regards,

phil

Hi Phil,

Thanks for the suggestion.

If you're mentioning the updates made to the .SBS format, I think we could indeed add it in our release notes. We'll have a discussion on the subject.

If you're mentioning updates specific to nodes, we could also find a way to add it to the documentation.

But I'm curious, what did you mean by publicly available? How would you like us to share the info?

Let me know.

Hi yril Dellenbach,

Ty for the responce.

Basically ive noticed in the stock instance node packages that you have various versions of the "same" graph(node). Looks like that instead of replacing the old, you just add the new, and append a suffic like `_v2` for example.

So id greatly appreciated it if/when these specific changes happen, if this info (pkg name, graph name(old/new)) could be added to anywhere that is available to us. So the release notes section would be fine.

Regards,
Phil

Thanks for the details,

We should indeed add these types of info in our release notes. I'll share this thread with the team.

Best regards,
