Individual Channels Not Showing

Hi there,

If I try to view my individual channels, they have become invisible. If I alt+left click on the layer thumbnail or if I select on any channel from the channel drop down menu, the mesh disappears. I have included a screenshot of my mesh with the Material Channel selected, then a picture of what I see when I try to view a single channel below it. That picture looks blank becuase my mesh disappears in my channels. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix this?

Thanks!

Hi,

Could you share a screenshot showing the full application window, please?

Have you tried in your display option to show the wireframe? On what channel are you when the mesh "disappears"?

Thank you,

Kind Regards,

Geoffroy SC

Hi Geoffroy,

Thank you for helping! Here is a screenshot of the full application window with wireframe. I turned on wireframe once before which is what showed me that my mesh went invisible when I tried to view my channels. This happens in all single channels and mesh maps. This is happening on my desktop and laptop for this file. This isn't happening with other files, so I probably have a setting wrong somewhere, but I can't figure out what I pressed to make this happen. Let me know if you need anything else, thanks!

Hi there,

I can see from the single channels in the 2D view, but not on the 3D view. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Painter, so I think there is a setting somewhere with this file that is making this happen, but I cannot figure out where it is. Here is picture of both 2D and 3D screenshot of what my normal channel looks like so you can see what I am talking about:

If anyone can help, that would be great! Thanks!

Hi

Is it just happening in this one file? If so, if you want to post (or PM) a link to the file  I'll take a look at it here.
