Perpetual license off steam is not genuine?

  Was about to work on some projects today, only to be greeted to this Alert. I bought a perpetual licese off steam before adobe bought them out. I thought a perpetual license was forever to use. I'm not really sure what to do next or who to contact to get this issue resolved.

First of all, if you bought a perpetual license you'll have a perpetual license, so we'll get to the bottom of this no worries.

That being said, I'm curious to understand why an Adobe popup shows up when it's a Steam license. Are you opening the software through the Steam app? Which version of Substance 3D Painter do you have?
