Stitches are uneven

Hi,

I'm using the "stitches straight" brush on the paint along path tool.

I love the tool, but I'm having trouble with the stitches showing up with inconsistent lenghts , and it looks bad.

In another part of my garment, I was able to fix this issue by upping the stamp cycle count, but in the case of the screen shot I've attached, no matter what settings I adjusted, nothing helped.

Hi @Daeus26612463z8fy,

Thanks for the message.

Could you share more visuals? Or could you even share the .SPP file? You can obviously send it to me privately at cdellenbach@adobe.com if you don't wish to share it here.

It's hard to determine what could be the issue from a single screenshot, but the Path tool shouldn't create inconstant stamps.

Best regards,

I'm puzzled.

First I could not replicate the spacing issue using various brushes and models (even with deliberately stretched UVs).

Second, I went to try this with the specific brush you mentioned but found I could not use the 'Stitches Straight' brush at all on a path. Other brushes such as 'Stiches 1', 'Paint Roller Warning' 'Tire Track 3' 'Zipper Tape' no issues at all. But 'Stiches Straight' and 'Stitches Cross Seam' switch from the 'Paint on a path' tool to the 'Brush' tool and have no impact on the path.

I need to dig further.

Okay, update. I still don't know what caused this problem, but I was able to fix it by changing the size space to object, upping the size a bit to compensate, and fiddling around with the spacing count a little bit until it was just right.
