UI Freeze Issue with Heavy Scenes on GMTKek EVO-X2 AI Mini PC

Hi,

At our company, we recently purchased the new GMTKek EVO-X2 AI Mini PC, and overall, we’re extremely impressed with its performance. With 128GB of shared VRAM between the CPU and GPU, it's remarkably fast—even outperforming an RTX 4090 in certain cases, as entire files can fit entirely in VRAM. The 2TB of storage is also a great plus.

However, we’ve encountered a recurring issue when working with heavy scenes. The software occasionally freezes in a strange way: the UI remains responsive, but both the viewport and the bottom progress bar become stuck and stop updating. This makes it difficult to continue working without restarting the software.

Given the potential of this machine, especially with its massive shared VRAM, we’re really eager to make full use of it. Could your team please look into this issue?

Thanks for your support!

Best regards,
Max

Hi Cyril,
Thanks for the fast reply.
I wasn't able to retrieve a log, since the software doesn't crash, just freeze.
Fortunately I found a way to make Painter work, basically I clamp the memory at 32gb in the bios, in this way painter runs just fine.
It would be great to be able to use all the memory, but for the time being I'll keep it at 32.

Thank you
Max
