hello,

I have question. I would like to know if this possible.
If you have texture into the basecolor slot using a fill layer.
Can you extract or create a normal or AO information too?
I know that you can use the HBAO filter. Just wondering if
you can do anything with just basecolor texture and create
normal/ao/height from just one texture. I only have basecolor texture to work with. Thanks

I did this created a grascale image from the BaseColor texture then imported into heightslot. Then used HeightToNormal filter now I'm getting normal information wehn I press my (C) key. Not sure if this is the correct way 🙂

You could say that any method that gives you the result you want is the correct way  🙂

You may want to give 3D Sampler or 3D Designer a look. Both have the ability and functions to produce a material from a single image.
