Exporting mesh to Unity results in rotated object

I allow Substance Painter to unwrap my mesh for me, which means I need to export this mesh to Unity for it to have the correct UVs. However it ends up rotated in Unity.

There's no settings for exporting meshes in Painter (perhaps this could one day be added) so I'm not sure what to do about this. I have scripts that rely on the z-forward of the object, so just rotating them back doesn't really work.

Does anyone know what I can do to export the mesh with the correct orientation?

Hi,

Have you applied the transform of your mesh in your modelling software?

You can also export a mesh from Painter in File>Export Mesh.

If you have any questions feel  free to ask,

Kind Regards,

Geoffroy SC

Thanks for the reply.

Yes I applied the transforms. If I export from Blender to Unity it works fine. The issue only occurs when I export the mesh from Substance Painter. There are no options for exporting meshes from Substance Painter so it basically means I can't use the feature of having Substance unwrap my model for me.
