Are there any examples, for what purpose Substance Painter is calculating and using World Space Normals?
Smart Materials? Smart Masks? Effects, etc?

Thx for any little info on that.

You can use them with a generator to create a mask affecting faces facing in specific directions. In fact there is a specific World Space Normal generator for this. An example in use would be to add dust on upward facing surfaces.
