I have started to practice with Painter.

I wanna draw a Character Skin, but i have Problems with the Tutorials shown.

How do i get the Original Material for the Tutorial with the Devil ? The User used a Ambient Occlusion map, but i dont know  how she has made it. Seemingly from photoshop but thats Nonsense.

Can i download the model and the following materials and build the Steps myself ? Where did she get the AO Map ? And why is she using it ? It makes only Sense in a Game Engine, but i want to use the Texture in Cinema 4d and Redshift.

Hi @Conna3005,

Unfortunately, I am not aware of an official tutorial about texturing a human skin. Could you share the link to the tutorial?

Also, the Ambient Occlusion is indeed not very useful for the rendering software you talked about, but the AO is used by several assets from the library (smart materials, smart masks, etc.). Don't worry, the Ambient Occlusion is pretty easy to bake.

1. Go to the the baking window at the top right corner (or F8)

2. Check the Use Low Poly Mesh as High Poly Mesh box and the Ambient Occlusion box

3. Hit the Bake selected textures button

Have a nice day.
