Thank you for the video.
The material you draged and droped has an Opacity channel, and considering the mesh doesn't have UVs, the 0 value Opacity covers the entire 3D model, making it disappear.
Fixing the UVs should solve the issue here.

There is something strange in your video.
When you imported the model you had AutoUnwrap checked. That would be expected to unwrap the model across the UV space but it appears not to have done so. Can you click on 'Options' next to the AutoUnwrap check box, in the Import dialogue, and show a screenshot of the settings here.

You can switch the "Generate only missing data" option to "Recompute all"
it will automatically generate UVs for the model.
