I'm not entirely sure to understand what you're looking for, but there are a lot of ways to Paint in Painter.

If you simply look for the tiling option, it is a the top of the Fill Layer Parameters

If you're pluging the material in a brush's parameter, that's the expected result. The brush will use the material as a stamp.

 

I think you want to create a Fill Layer instead.

Is it the only way? In blender, for example, you can paint with textures in TILED mode and does not repeat abruptly while press click. I want to know if there's an option exactly like that
