In Substance Painter, when baking, you can append suffixes like _low and _high to the mesh names to make them match. However, when I set up the rule for Ignore Backface Suffix (in this case, I used _igno), it seems to be applied to the _low and _high naming convention as well, which results in an error. Am I doing something wrong here, or is this a bug?
The version I’m using is 11.0.3.

thank you for the message and the screenshot.
Can you also share a screenshot of the suffix you have setup, so I'm sure we're not missing anything too obvious? In the meantime, I'm checking on my end where the problem could come from.

Thank you for your reply. Is this the correct part of the image you’re referring to?

Hello, could you at least let me know whether this is an issue on my side or a problem with the software itself? Otherwise, I can’t decide whether to incorporate it into my workflow.

Thanks for the reminder.
You still need a low poly to refer to. There should be a Plane_low in your mesh list.

I haven’t created a Plane_low, but does this mean that using only the tags set with Ignore Backface Suffix won’t work, and a corresponding mesh is required? In this case, does it mean that even if I remove the _high from the mesh that has _igno added with Ignore Backface Suffix, it still won’t work?

You can still bake, even with the error, but the plane from the High poly mesh will be considered in the Baking.
If you remove the _high suffix, it will still not work. It's the low poly plane that needs a _low suffix. That being said, if you don't have a low poly mesh plane, why having a high poly mesh plane?

When I was looking into how to use Ignore Backface Suffix, I referred to this video (it’s a bit old, though)
[URL]:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihtxIiatqx8
At that time, they demonstrated an example where a slightly raised, bumpy mesh was placed like a decal and then baked, so I tried a simple shape myself just to confirm.
I might have overlooked something, but since I wasn’t able to get the same result, I wanted to confirm whether this error itself might be the cause, which is why I made this post.
