Can Photoshop be included in the Substance Painter subscription?

Can Photoshop be included in the Substance Painter subscription? Seems pointless having to get all the substanc e programs and then get another one just for PS. Majority of 3D Artists still need to use PS along with SP.

Or why aren't all the creative apps included in everybodies CC subscription?

Yes - I would welcome this for sure.
Of all the bits that have ever come with Substance Painter, I only ever use Painter and Download Materials.
When painting modles I always use Photoshop and Painter together.

Make sense to me to bundle apps that are actually used together, rather than include those you never use.

So the option as suggested would be great.

All these years and still no reply.
I have Photoshop sub

- it comes with a load of stuff I don't need and will never use

- I only use Photoshop from that plan.

I have Substance sub

- it too comes with a load of stuff I don't need and will never use

- I only use Painter from that plan.

It makes no sense to have two subs for two tools that I need, that come with a bunch of apps and fluff that I simply do not need or use.

Would really appreciate a plan that includes Substance Painter and Photoshop

- don't need storage

- don't need any other apps, so why pay for that

I honestly feel it would be a reasonable plan at around $30au.
Can we have an official reply please Adobe?

Hello @michaeloldman,

I'm afraid the Adobe Substance answer won't be the one you're looking for, but there is currently nothing to share on this end. I'm aware that our Adobe subscriptions aren't always fitting users' needs, but as I mentionned I haven't heard about something new for this year on this topic.

That being said, I can move this thread to the "Idea" section of our forum, where we gather and prioritize users' ideas for Substance 3D Painter. If a lot of people are upvoting this thread, it will give more impact to the suggestion. In addition, I advise you to take a look at our Steam offers, where you can buy a lifetime license for Substance 3D Painter only and it will probably saves you money (as long as you're buying Substance Painter only).

As a side note I am currently on a dev cycle for a game in production and as a result it is easier to stick with Substance for the remainder of that job.

When done, I will move over to Armor.

Would love to stay with Substance, have been using it long before Adobe came on the scene, but the sub with all the extra stuff I won't ever use, is not an incentive to stay on. So finish the job and move on.

As mentioned, we have perpetual license with Steam. A single license (no extra stuff), no Creative Cloud launcher and a less expensive offer (as long as you're only using Painter).

So I'm unsure exactly what's making you leave Substance, but I hope you'll find what you need with Armor.

LATEST

Hi Cyril,

Substance is A$ 31.99 pm for 11 appas and services - I only use Substance
Photoshop is A$ 24.99 pm for 22 apps and services - I only use Photoshop

So leaving because Substance and Photoshop are the only apps I need or use out of the many other apps that come with the two subs.

So while those subs seem generous, they are not providing anything I need bar the two apps mentioned - for me that is not a good deal and is very expensive.

So it is a matter of no choice but to drop Substance, and eventually Photoshop as well.

Nobody wants to pay for services or products they do not need or use, so it would be nice if Adobe could provide a useful subscription for the tools we really need at a reasable price. Lets be honest, it is something that they could do, but thus far have choosen not to do so.
