Moderators, I belive I should have put this in a different section  'Substance Assets and Community Assets' or 'Substance Plugins'

Can you move it?

I'm experiencing a severe lag in All versions of 3ds Max that I have installed (2020, 2021, 2022). When I create a 'Substance2' and generate a V-Ray material and assign it to an object, the lag is severe, sometimes 45-seconds between each mouse click. The Substances come from Substance Source within Max.

I have a very powerful system and opened a file that had 32 million polys and no Substance Materials. It performs quite well. But a scene with 250K polys and a Substance is brought to it's knees.

I began searching the AREA Max Forum and the Chaos Group V-Ray forums and found nothing. So, I'm continuing here. I'm wondering if anyone else is having this issue? I have an otherwise, clean, sound and perfectly performing custom machine. It's fully updated, current video and Max Updates. DISM reports a sound OS.

Here is an AREA Max Forum post where I'm participating and shared a video of the problem.
