Sampler v5.0 now glacially slow on MacOS

Any reason why this new version (5.0.0) is glacially slow and significantly slower than the previous version on MacOS (M1 Max 32Gb, Sequoia)? UI, selection, scolling is extremely laggy (at least 1 second delay for any drop down or UI element), zoom and pan is extremely stuttery and lags even if only 2D is displayed.
Not hitting any memory limit, still free memory with zero swap.
Sampler has always been a bit chuggy on MacOS but this is a significant performnce decrease.

It shouldn't be that way. Can you share your log file ? (go to help menu > Export log)
A video showing the issue could help us too.

Can you share with us your log file?

Did you enable the Path Tracing mode?

In rasterizer mode you should not experience slowdown on M1 Max, we have to investigate with you.

Hi,

Regarding your log file, it seems Susbtance Sampler is linking all your content with this update.

You have linked a lot of resources, that is an heavy processing, can take times.

Normaly, when the linking process will finish, you should be back to normal experience.

FYI, this issue has returned, it seemed OK for a day but on next open its back to glacial, including UI response even with an empty material . CPU util is around 20% thats it.

Did you upgrade to the last 5.0.1?

If yes, Substance Sampler will perform again (sorry...) the linking of your stuff.
