Hi @lil_safni, which version of Sampler and which embroidery filter are you using?
When drag and dropping the reference image into the latest version of the embroidery filter the result is quite similar to the reference you are sharing (cf image).

I have not watched this video recently, but it is three years old and the filter has been updated since, so the tweaks and default states might not be comparable!
You will find more information about the latest version of the embroidery filter in this documentation page.

Hope that helps,

Marion

Hello, in all the tutorials I've seen, the embroidery effect is applied immediately after importing the image. However, I’m not experiencing the same result. Could you please suggest a solution?

What is the issue in the latest screenshot you have shared? It seems to work as designed

Do you add the embroidery filter to your stack before adding the image in the "Image" field in the basic parameters of the filters like in my screenshot?

Could you please compare the screenshots from your tutorial or other videos with mine? I'm aiming to achieve the same embroidery effect as demonstrated, but in my case, the result is different. Specifically, the embroidery appears larger, and the original image is still visible beneath it. I've followed the same steps as shown in the video, but I'm not getting the same clean result. I would appreciate any guidance on what might be causing this issue.
1.  i import the image

lil_safni_0-1722887877097.png

2.

lil_safni_1-1722887942668.png

3. i click embroidery and i get this

I've noticed a difference between the results I'm getting and those shown in your tutorial or other videos. When choosing the embroidery option, the stitching in the tutorials looks perfect. However, in my case, the original image is still visible beneath the embroidery. I'm wondering if this issue is specific to my process or if there might be another explanation.

Can you please try to not use image to material, but to instead add directly the embroidery filter to your stack and drag and drop the image in the image space in the embroidery filter parameters?
You should not have the image shown beneath this way

Could you please add it here instead of the inputs? Like you did previously, just without the Image to material process

Hi @lil_safni

You can also download the Embroidery Legacy (old version) of the filter from the Substance 3D Community Assets site. I find it gives a different look and for me at least is easier to control the result. It can be found here...
https://substance3d.adobe.com/community-assets/assets/82dc100d0f10be2149968a9c8ead3d73fdd845fa

Also, with your image above asking is this normal... that looks like you may have your height scale set too high.
To change it, click the displacement icon in the 3D viewport as shown in the attached image and reduce the height scale.  Note - changing the height scale does not alter the height map values in any way... it is just a visual reference.

I hope that helps 🙂
