Sampler is not loading anymore after a crash on Windows 10. I've tried un-installing through Adobe CC, re-installing, restarting, using IObit to uninstall again, re-install again and I'm unable to launch the program. Pretty much stuck. Any help is appreciated!

Then you can try to delete the following folder and relaunch the application:
C:\Users\[your_username]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Substance 3D Sampler

Thanks for the help! I've attached the log. Looking at the log, I found where "YourAssets" was, deleted the folder and now Sampler launches!

Just a bit more info... I imported this substance source into sampler and it immeditely crashed without any errors: https://substance3d.adobe.com/assets/allassets/2f3cfde45e083d2452f8f1debc50e80f949ced04?q=dirt%20rub...
After that it crashes (or just doens't launch) after the splash screen, even after the steps I mentioned above. I'm using the latest windows update and Sampler 3.0.

Is there any reason for it to happen ? - my essests just slowed Substance sampler so much that it has taken ages to open it . I am still surprised as my specs are quite well . (AMD 5950x RTX 3080 and all my hardrives are M2s ) . Is there any way to reinitialise all my materials ?

Hello @Lok34086091zffh,
As mentioned in this thread, I advise you to update the GPU driver (can solve many issues). You can also uninstall/reinstall the application and if this doesn't work, I advise you to delete the files in
This should fully clean your Substance 3D Sampler.

I have the same problem, sampler will not launch when I click open in the CC desktop app. A log file is not generated. I have tried updating drivers, restarting pc, reinstalling with and without preferences, and deleting the files under /AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Substance 3D Sampler. 3D painter and 3D designer both still launch for me. Any help for a fix?

I just tried reverting from version 4.2.2 to version 4.2.1 and 3D Sampler launches now and works as far as I can tell.

I can confirm this behavior in 4.2.2. That is. No startup respons from either executable nor cc app and no log generation.

Cyril I can also confirm that it is only happening on V4.2.2. 4.2.1 and older work just fine.
