Hello
I am looking for ways to project 2D vector graphics from Illustrator onto a 3D element. Preferably live view using perhaps a plugin or be able to update the view in 3D after adjustments in the 2D graphics.
And finally be able to export to a universal viewing format.
Thanks in advance.
All the best
Kasper
Hi Kasper!
As Ares mentioned, you can use Stager's decal feature for this - I'd recommend checking the documentation article here:

In terms of 'live view' though, it doesn't update from artwork changes in Illustrator in real time by default. The best way to connect your artwork and get updates is to use CC Libraries.

Are you talking about decal on 3d object or the whole 3d object?
For decal - import Illustrator native ai file as decal- that allow to edit decal from Illustrator in real time.
For whole 3d object (mesh) - create 3d object in Illustrator and export it as OBJ or GLTF from illustrator via Export assets panel. Import it into Stager. For now you can't edit in Illustrator and see changes in Stager. You need to repeat this workflow again.

Thank you very much - it was exactly the decal feature im looking for and the live update from CC Library works just fine when editing from Illustrator. I tested both in Dimensons and Stager with same results.
