I keep changing my pixels per inch to 300 in the render settings, but the file keeps coming out at 72 dpi. What am I doing wrong? I have a full license.
Hi @hartben - thanks for reporting this, it does indeed seem to be broken right now. It doesn't change the number of pixels being rendered, just the size calculation in Photoshop, so you can still convert it in Photoshop if you want. If you want more pixels, just use the size setting directly for now. Apologies about that!

Hello, its still impossible to export at 300dpi at Stager, Dimension doesnt have this issue / limitation.
Stager is supposed to be better than Dimension and with more functions, so when will be possible for us
to have control of the output resolution?
I saw that you've replied for this issue at 23th July 2021, its been a while since then and as it seems, nothing
has changed.
Thanks in advance.

@ID3A+ Design Whilst an annoyance having to change the resolution in Photoshop (which will assign 72ppi on opening to any file without resolution metadata), it does not affect the image at all. The resolution setting is just metadata i.e. a number that sits alongside the image and is used to calculate physical print size. Changing the ppi value in Photoshop Image >Image Size with resample unchecked will recalculate the physical size and add the revised value in metadata without changing a single pixel - so no loss is involved.
It would be nice to see it set correctly from Stager though.

Thank you very much for the response but all these years i had the total control of 2 of the important
settings: resolution and size. So with these 2 you can achieve exactly what you want to achieve.
We had these for ages so its a little bit disappointing to not have it in an app like this. Condider that Adobe Dimension has these until now, Stager supposed to be the complete version of Dimension and a more focused app for better results. Its the easiest thing to choose your file size (as for the dimensions) and then choose the output resolution. In Stager i've also tried to export at 150ppi and it still ended at 72. So no other resolution can be exported except 72.
Resampling is a substitute way to do it but i prefer to control it with real numbers.
So we hope to get this the sooner.
Wish you a great year and be safe.

Dear Dave i tried to resize with resample unchecked and i think that it looks ok.
Thank you very much and hope to see Stager completed and of course native for Silicon Macs.
Take care.

Hello,
I started using SG yesterday as I need to develop product renders at multiple angles at a specific size and DPI - which i was previously accomplishing in Dimension, but the clarity isn't great in Dimension. I am working with 12-18 renders at a time. Will there ever be an option to include DPI in the output? Or did my workload just increase?
Still looking for rendering solutions, so want to know what to expect if the company purchases this software.
Thanks,
