Wow, Stager version 2.1, and after 2 years still without ARM support in emulation mode on Mac. Still no isometric camera. This update is just disappointing, Adobe.
When do you think we could expect it? I don't really expect a concrete answer, honestly.
I get your frustration and I personally would also love an isometric camera option. We are aware these features are lacking to Substance Stager, but I unfortunately don't have any ETA to share on these topics.
The 2.1.0 was mainly focusing on a faster renderer (with AI denoiser) and fixing bugs. The features you expected are missing, but we are honestly focusing on making Stager more stable and easy to use for users.
Best regards,

I'm all for faster renders and fewer bugs! Other apps have made the mistake of prioritizing new features over stability: It's never a good idea and it alienates customers like mad.
I think the underlying problem is that the team is just too small. Dimension was also underfunded and understaffed relative to what was needed. The Dimension team became the Stager team and stayed about the same size for a long time, afaik.
Given that heavy 3D users are mostly on Windows anyway and that the new 3D rendering engine still leans somewhat on Nvidia RTX technology, it's not a complete surprise that the budget for ARM conversion went to Adobe's flagship design apps rather than Stager. Ironically, the cohort that might have influenced this -- Ai/Ps/Id users, who were the original intended market for Dimension/Stager and half of whom are on Mac -- was never brought on board in enough numbers. One of my hopes is to change that.
