I've been trying to render a file for 2-3 days. I set it to render, then leave it. When I come back, hours later, the render hangs somewhere in the middle of the progress bar.
My scene a big canvas with lots of objects.
I'm rendering 4000x5000 px.
I don't need super high quality, I just need to get this thing I've been working on for weeks over to photoshop, in one piece.
Since Stager isn't presenting any errors, it's just comatose, I don't know what to do. The interface "works", that is I can go through the save dialogue, but it just doesn't save anything.
It may be that the underlying process is just busy, but... when nothing happens, nothing keeps happening, it's really hard to figure it out.
When I come back, even if I leave it for an hour after that, the progress bar isn't moving.
Also, since it's not the app crashing, only the underlying software, there's no crash reports, nothing like that.
What do I do?

I'm having the same issue. But mine is not going over the estimating time. It just stays estimating, and never finishes anything. Sometimes it crashes, but sometimes it just freezes.
I've already sent the crash log to Adobe, and I'm waiting for some answer.
Did you manage to work out your bug?
Cheers.

On the Substance Discord, it was suggested that I turn off denoise. That seems to have worked for the file in question.
It's still buggy though.
Another workaround has been to render parts and put together in photoshop. But that's as inelegant as it gets, and kind of defeats the purpose of Substance/Dimension - simplicity in workflow.
There was also a pretty recent update, if you haven't updated yet, check that out too.

Thanks for the feedback,
I've tried that, but with no success.
I even tried to render a simple cube with a basic material, and managed to get to 30% of the rendering, before it either froze, or crash.
It might possibly be my graphics card. But I'll keep trying.

Not the best machine, gives me a lot of headache when it comes to rendering, but substance always worked fine, maya, arnold, etc.
