Rendering time (Comparing Dimension to Stager)

I find Stager to be really slow when I render a file. Also, I soon as I open a file in Stager, the computer is lagging, and it’s almost not usable (without me swearing... WTF!) the mouse jumping.

I did a small test for comparing rendering time with the same basic file.

Dimension render it after 7m53sec
Stager render it after 40m15sec

The end ressults was exactly the same (even a bit more clean from Dimension).

MacBookPro - Os 10.15.7 - 16 Go RAM

Not impressed at all with my experience with Stager so far.

Hi Folks, Please review GPU rendering not available in Substance 3D Stager - Adobe Support Community - 12128353

Here what mention team:

We are in discussions with AMD already to get that working as soon as possible and are discussing Metal architecture for OSX.  Our goal is to be hardware agnostic with feature parity - but Windows NVidia was the most ready for us to do first.

this is similar to my experience as well. I was hoping that Stager would be the next gen Dimensions that I had been waiting for it to evolve into. My experience has been that I can barely work in it without endless bugs, slow downs, renders that seem to go on forever if not stalled, and find myself going back to dimensions often, just to get the work done. Certianly not what I am paying a very large amount extra for! I really tried to be forgiving of the first release not being as stable as Dimensions as I understoof that they rebuilt the app, but I had certianly expected them to stabalize the app by now. For all we know, they will drop Stager like they have so many other applications after we became dependant on them...

I am running a 3.6 GHz 10-core i9 with 128 GB ram. I have a Radeon 5700, but of course Stager doesn't even use that...

Thanks!

That explains the sluggishness of Stager on Mac in many areas...

Any chance to see a Stager version decently working on Mac for MAX Release? I hope...
