Stager Unusably Slow

Hi

I have a Mac Mini 2018 - 3.2 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i7 - the standard Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB - 64 Gig RAM. Recently Stager seems to have become completely unusably slow. Not just rendering, but navigating around any scene with only simple objects and materials. There was always lag with Dimension and Stager - but it has become so poor now it is unusable. I have an established workflow and client work that needs finishing and I can't seem to open/edit any existing projects and be able to move around and edit at all. It was always a struggle, but it just seems completely impossible now.

Please advise any troubleshooting steps that I might take to check its nothing I have set up incorrectly.

Thanks

Hi @jamesc69695286.

Thanks for the message.

My first advice would be to disable the denoise export. Since this is the most recent feature added to Substance Stager, it's worth a try.

I'd be curious to know when the performance lags have started, and I would rollback Stager to a previous version.

This would help us determine if the issue is related to an update or not.

However, the mentioned MAC is unfortunately below the minimum requirement for running Substance 3D Stager, therefore lags are to be expected.

I have run into the same problem. I noticed it when Adobe introduced the AI features into the software. My system performance dropped to an unusable level.

I reverted to version 2.1.2 and the performance issues went away completely. My system behaved as normal. I would have to test more to determine which version started the performance drop.

Performance reliability is my number one concern when using Adobe software. I am not interested in new features if they drop my performance.
