Wishlist: Subscription fee for JUST Stager and Assets

As an illustrator who mainly uses Stager and Assets to set up scenes for reference images, I would love to be able to subscribe to JUST those two apps. I illustrate children's books for Simon & Schuster, and have posted some short clips on how useful Stager can be in creating digital maquettes for use as reference, experimenting with different camera angles and lighting, etc. I posted about using Stager here: here: https://debbieohi.substack.com/p/picture-books-101-behind-the-scenes

I have had many other professional illustrators ask me more about Stager, get all excited, but then lose interest when they realized they'd have to pay a hefty fee for the entire Adobe Substance 3D Suite when they only really needed one app (if they were content with the default in-app asset library).

If Adobe allowed creatives to pay a lower subscription fee to access just Stager or Stager + Assets, I am 100% positive many more illustrators would sign up.

I also am eagerly awaiting Modeler to have a Mac version, at which point I will be better able to justify subscribing to the 3D Suite year-round.

Fingers crossed!

I've been a strong advocate for this since the Substance launch, and for the same reason. There are many designers who need only Stager and Assets, and when Dimension was essentially mothballed they were left high and dry. In 2016, Adobe officially promised at MAX that there would be a 3D app specifically for designers, which was originally called Project Felix, then grew into Adobe Dimension. The company broke that promise by dropping Dimension after they acquired Allegorithmic and pivoted to 3D artists.

The irony of the fact that Adobe offers a low-cost version of a Substance subscription for people who don't want Stager, analogous to the CC single-app and photography plans, wasn't lost on me at the time, and I know that within the 3D and Immersive team there are some fierce advocates for fulfilling that orignal promise to designers. The corporate behemoth that Adobe has become is a bit like an enormous ocean-going cargo ship: changing course takes a lot of effort and is slow. I still have hopes that they will do the right thing and provide a "Designer Plan" or something similar for those of us who don't need all the rest of the Substance Suite.

A designer plan of Illustrator, Photoshop, Stager and assets would cover the essentials for me since Modeler is not available for mac.

I whole heartedly echo both Debbie and Alan in this for Stager (as well as a Mac Modeler).
