CC Team Project on Premiere between Freelancer

Contributor ,
Dec 06, 2017 Dec 06, 2017

We are a team of freelancers and it happens quite often that we works on the same video project.

Sharing a common Team Project on Premiere would be amazing for us so sound guy/colorist and editors can share the same timeline.

The problem is that we all have CC subscription but we are not a team of the same brand so we do not have the team subscription and we cannot share projects.

How could we share CC projects? We are a network of professionists. It is a shame that Adobe does not support this feature for us.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Alberto

I am not an expert on the licensing side of things, but as I understand it, any user with a Creative Cloud for Teams or Creative Cloud for Enterprise license can use Team Projects. You do not need to be part of the same CC team or enterprise, and you should be able to collaborate with users who have the other type of license.

If purchasing enough Teams licenses for your collaborators, or having your collaborators upgrade to a Team license is not an option, have you looked at the new Project locki

You can always collect projects via the media manager and send them around. Not sure what else you would do, anyway. Even team projects require explicit saving and versioning. It's based on files, not interactive collaboration, so as soon someone starts to work on a project, a new version is created and the changes are only merged into existing projects, if someone else from the group chooses to open it. Still, since sound and grading are separate steps, anyway, I don't see how that would help you much here. You still need to finish the cut first.

Thanks for your answer. Sound and colorist are separate steps, true, but usually there are changes to the edit after sound and colro grading so it's a mess to send projects by email.

"You can always collect projects via the media manager"

what do you mean?

By the way it's a shame that Adobe doesn't allow team projects for CC single users since we pay more that a team working with a team license!

We're having the exact same problem!
Adobe Support gave us the runaround.

Even if we wanted to pay a higher monthly amount,  we still can't collaborate unless we are on the same plan, which makes it a -worthless- feature for any freelancer.

It doesn't have all of the features of Team Projects, but it works with any Creative Cloud license. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/how-to/collaborative-video-editing.html .

Since spring 2020 Team Projects is no longer tied to Enterprise or Team licenses and is available to anyone with a valid license.

Hello Udo,
our information is,
that freelancer can only work ADOBE at there customers e.g. post-productions
with licenses from the freelancers!

It is not intended, for example, that a post-production company assigns a license to a freelancer from your company's ADOBE license pool.

We would like to see a handout in German and English for freelancers, producers and administrators.

Many Thanks
Charles Waldorf
