Hi,
we have quite a few company assets we would like to use in our Team Projects.
But I struggle finding a sufficient workflow with this.
Whenever a Team Project Member uses the an assets from a shared library (all users have access to that library) or from a locally installed MOGRT-Template (all users have that installed), the other Team Members can not find it.
Reconnecting via Media Management is (kind of) possible, but the corresponding aegraphic-Files are in saved automatically in the Premiere Folder, and since the the folder names are very cryptic and different on each machine, you can not Auto-Find and Relink other Assets, which is a no-go with 50+ Templates.
I came up with two workarounds:
1. Have the Graphics Editor not be part of the Team Project, but rather
do a normal project
consolidate all the assets
and then send the project.
This has to to be repeated every time he adds a new assets!
2. Have a list of all the templates used.
On one machine place all the templates on the timline.
Reveal in Finder.
Copy the aegraphics file to a shared drive.
Reconnect media via Media Management on each machine.
Also this process has to be done each time a new template is added to the time line.
Please let me know what I am missing here.
Working with templates is a big part of our workflow, and I assume I am doing something elementarily wrong with using these templates in Team Projects. There's gotta be an easier way 😉
Thanks and all the best,
Max

Does anyone have a solution for this?

Hi Max,
Have you tried setting the scratch-disk for 'Motion Graphic Template Media' for all collaborators to a shared location?
This could be a shared location in-house or to a shared folder of a cloud file-sharing service (Creative Cloud Files, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc...).
