Not able to Publish and Auto Saving did not work.

After spending some days working on a single sequence, I wanted to publish my changes, but it wouldn't let me, it just stayed forever in the process bar window - I had to eventually click "cancel". I later noticed a message saying something like Premiere hasn't been able to sync since 5/30. It was 6/04 when I noticed the message.
I couldn't save the project as a local one because it wanted me to publish my changes first, so I had to quit without publishing, hoping to recover from an "auto save" version. I opened the project again, but in the auto save pane, the latest version was from 5/30. I went to the Team Projects auto save local folder and found a .tpr file that was last modified on 6/04 - so I have hope! Right?!

How do I open this .tpr file or how sould I go about recovering what I did if I was not allow to publish it?

Thank you,
I am on a Mac - Premiere 25.2
