Me (the editor) and the director are working for a very large feature documentary. We've been working on team project for over a year now. Every now and then, team project stops responding and we start with a new team project.
The problem is this; when we try to publish the work we've done, the "waiting for team project to synchronize" window keeps going on forever. Now, I've tried to open up a clean team project, shared it with the director, she could pull it to her computer, and now I have imported the assets once again and copied all the sequences and pushed the publish button. It's been 3 hours now and it still waiting for synchronize.
The project has over 24 months of footage which takes up around 10 tbs, but we both have different disks with same folder structure, so with proper media management it's not a problem. But we can't go to that phase!

Hi @Tuna5ED6
In a nutshell - The bigger a project grows the longer it takes to scan project items for changes. Especially, if a project contains large and complex Sequences (including several backup copies of them).
To keep the sync time as small as possible we recommend working with 'Linked Team Projects'. This lets you split a large Team project into smaller more manageable projects that only contain relevant sequences and media for current editing needs. It is generally a good idea to keep the number of backup sequence low or ‘park’ them in linked projects - "Linked Team Projects".
Best,
Udo

Thank you for your reply. Is it expected for the project to synchronize in 3 hours for bigger projects?

This certainly sounds like an excessive long time, did it eventually synchronize?
Could you invite me [upawlik@adobe.com] to the project or a copy of it?
Best,
Udo
