Team project failing "processing loaded assets"

New Here ,

Hi.

My coworker and I have an issue with the Team Projects Function in Premiere Pro. Everytime we try to open a bigger project we are currently working on it is getting stuck at the "processing loaded assets" step and you need to forcefully shut it down.

We somehow avoided it by opening a new and empty Team Project, then closing it and then opening the right one, but that only works if you have not opened another Adobe programm beforehand, else you need to restart and to the process all over again. And it is only a temporary fix.

I do not know what causes the issues and have already tried everything like cleaning cache and Mediamanagement linking, but it does not seem to work and we need the Team Project function to work simultaneously on the project.

Our current Version is: 25.1

We work on Mac: Sonoma 14.6.1 and with a apple M3 Chip system

We work with a Cloud Doc system from Blackmagic and a 10 GBbit connection, so I do not think that this causes the Issues. And we get acess to our Users via an Active Directory. (Don't know if thats im portant)

It worked in the 2024 Version of Premiere but we want to use the new Feature and downgrading now is unfortunatly not an Option.

Help would be gratly appreciated 🙂

Thank you in advance

Sorry for your troubles, a fix for the "Team Project not fully loading" issue will ship in the upcoming 25.2 build. For the time beeing using the Beta build is the best option.

Any predictions on when this will be released?

This is an issue that's been reported as early as 2018 - however, in late 2024 it still remains a problem.

Long story short, when I open any of my Team Projects, there's about a 90% chance it will get stuck in "Processing Loaded Assets" and not open.

This has been happening for the past few months now, and this behavior is consistent across many different that I own (they are all Apple Sillicon computers), so no amount of "delete folder X" or "reset preferences" will fix this. I've even tried formatting a laptop, reinstalling Premiere trying to open a brand-new Team Project: this bug always re-appears.

Let me reiterate that the problem isn't that projects don't open: is that they don't open almost all of the time. If you try enough times they will eventually open - still, it's wasted time that has been adding up every single day, and after 6 years of development I'd expect a feature as key as this to be a little more stable.

just a few shots in the dark.  What if you create a new project and try importing the old project?  Try opening the project with the media offline and then connect the media drive and relink?

Hi @lucasrizzotto,
Apologies for any frustration this issues is causing.
Unfortunately a fix for this bug did not make it into current release version (PPRO_25.1) but is available in the PPRO_beta build which can be installed side-by-side with the release version.

Aaaand after a few days working, Premiere Pro Beta no longer works anymore and I can't open any projects now as of the latest update.

I'm honestly amazed the situation managed to get worse.

issues like this is why people are moving to davinci... Feels ike adobe caters to creators instead of actual editors these days.
