You have to add the media assets from the Edit/Team Projects Media Management dialog. It's very different than the normal process.
And it is often best to have the exact folder structure for all media assets duplicated on the local machine, with all media inside the same folders as on the original or "owner" machine/file system. Most dropbox type services cannot provide anywhere near the speed of file transfer needed for working in an editing app like Premiere, with the large video files we so often have.
A partner and I are currently working with the LucidLink service to utilize shared storage and access, and that actually seems to work with online storage. He's in Cape Town, I'm in Oregon, our files are in London ... and we seem to be able to mostly work as though the files were local.

Hi,
When you say 'empty', is the Team Project panel entirly blank or is the media there but offline?
If it's blank, can you make sure the Team Project owner has already shared the changes with you (Edit > Team Projects > Share My changes...). You in turn would need to get these latest changes once they're shared.

Hi There, is there any solution for this problen? All the many hours of work seems lost because the Teams Project just shows an empty timeline? Why is this happening? Why this "feature"? Please let me know if somebody has a workaround. Thanks,

"New" ... which versions of PrPro are you and the others on the TP working in?
What type of CC licenses do you have? Individual or Enterprise?
And of course, has the originator 'shared' their changes? As if they haven't, you won't see what they've done. TP doesn't show any work until it is 'shared' by the person doing it.

My whole Team Project just got wiped for no reason. I was exporting my timeline, Premiere crashed. Restarted and the Team Project was EMPTY. Timeline had no more clips on it. I'm not talking about clips that are empty, no, the ALL the clips were GONE. Anywhere I can recover my project and timeline?

I think it's the MediaBrowser panel, where you go to see past versions. Select the project, and there's a slider on the right, something like that.

When I load the Team Project all the assets are still in the project window, as also the Sequence. The only thing is that the sequence is (in the timeline) is EMPTY. All the clips (=the whole edit) is gone. We ended up editing of a local backup we took on a local hard drive.

There are regular backups on their CC cloud ... so you should also be able to get to those as noted in my earlier post.

Sorry for your trouble with Team Projects. Have you already tried to see if you can recover an Auto-Saved version of your timeline as Neil suggested - View versions of team projects?
Best,
Udo

I managed to view earlier versions of the project in the Media Browser via the slider in Versions, but when I click on the sequence that is listed it opens a source monitor that says 'read only' and it opens a timeline sequence that I'm not allowed to alter: no changes are allowed (I've tried adding Lumetri and fx). I've also tried importing that previous version into the current project (when you right click it gives you that option), only to get again an empty timeline with nothing on it. So what am I doing wrong here?

Go to the folder with the project file ... there's a little file there of the same name with a 'lock' or something like that added. Simply delete that file, and the project will open.

Neils last reply refers to 'Productions', unfortunately this doesn't apply to a 'Team Project'.
So, you can open a read only version of sequence, but when you import the sequence it appears empty in your Project?
Can you drag and drop the historic version of your sequence into your open Team Project?

Yes that is correct. Drag and drop has the same effect. I even tried to copy the sequence into the project. It was empty. Even when it appeared normal (but read-only) in the Media Browser / Versions window.

Could you invite me to the Team Project [upawlik@adobe.com]?

Why does the project come up empty. I know you can try the auto save browser but why I'm trying to understand why a project would be EMPTY. Does anyone know?

Having this issue as well. Team sharing is NOT THERE with Adobe at all. Why even promote it?

Team projects works actually pretty well if you are working as designed. And it's very different than a typical stand-alone project workflow. So it's easy to do the wrong thing until you learn how to do it the right way for TPs.
So ... walk us through exactly what you've done so far, it can get sorted.

In most of these cases collaborators have simply forgotten to actively sync the changes assuming that edits are automatically pushed to the server. Just to confirm, you have shared the changes (Share your changes) and your counterpart has gotten your changes (Get latest changes from collaborators) (or vice versa)?

Hi Rachel,
You can view and recover previous Versions/Auto-Saves via the Media Browser: View auto-saves and versions of Team Projects.
Could you invite me to the project in case you still have problems?

The exact same thing just happened to me, and the sequence I worked on is also empty in all auto-saves and versions. I'm screwed, right?
