Premiere Team Projects 12.1.2 Depleting Lots of Memory

I have a co-worker who just started Tuesday and had to update to 12.1.2 when we are all on 12.1.1. She is on a laptop with about 25 GB of Available Memory. I told her she could put all the cache and render files on her external hard drive. However, when she opens Premiere, it starts eating away her hard disk memory until it gets to about 10 GB and Premiere shuts down.

Is this a bug for 12.1.2? Is this normal for the program? When I do basic tests, I don't see any memory loss when I am using the program, but I have plenty of space and let the program write to my internal hard drive.

Steps we took:

1) File / Team Projects Settings / Scratch Disks - Set All Scratch Disks to External Hard Drive.

2) Edit / Preferences / Media Cache - Set Media Cache Files and Media Cache Database to External Hard Drive

Not sure what else to do. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Tom
