Adobe Adds Generative AI (Firefly) to Photoshop

Firefly was launched in March at the Adobe Summit as a web-only beta. It was trained on Adobe’s own collection of stock images and publicly available assets.

By relying on its own image collection, Adobe may be able to avoid the backlash that some other AI image generator tools have faced for training AI from online content.

Getty Images sued Stability AI -- the makers of Stable Diffusion -- for copyright infringement.  Stability has since filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
