Do you still have a landline phone?

Brace yourself for some sticker shock. A local couple's AT&T landline phone bill jumped from $20 to $1,200/month.

When contacted about the billing error, AT&T said it was not a mistake.  They are committed to stop offering landline phone service.  They're transitioning customers away from traditional copper landlines to cell phone service or voice over internet protocols (VOIP), aka your phone over the internet.

Our land-line crapped out almost a year ago. So now we get it though the VOIP I guess. It was really something since this was all new to my parents and a little nerve racking as well.  But over all, the Canadian phone and Internet not to mention cellular service is some of the most expensive in the world.  Its no wonder services such as these are slow to change/modernise with the rest of the world.

Civil Servant Robot ends its life in a stairwell.

South Koreans who love their robots are taking this very hard. Some have speculated that the robot may have become despondent due to 'overwork.'

I can't make this stuff up.

Oh poor robot.  I'm sure they little guy was repaired. But then who knows, maybe hacked some how? Or just malfunctioned. Maybe they're just so life like now with AI, you just never know. 😁

I don't know if any one has watched a show called Customer wars? There was this one incident where there were these two robots fighting on an elevator. One was trying to get on and the other that was already in, refused to let the other get in. So a human vacationing at the hotel had to break it up. So finally and very gingerly he pushed and guided the robot that wanted to get in even if some what protested and both eventually went on their daily ways.

Over all an interesting show if your in the mood for it since it can be too much negativity and or stupidity sometimes.  🙂
