Melting Roads in Queensland

This is happening somewhere near our Graham Ussnorway lives in Queensland Oz.  I've seen trucks leave tire marks in the road on very hot days, but nothing remotely close to this.  Si was this near where you live Graham?

yes 500 ks is just down the road for me but that image is soft mix tar and whatever "lowest bidder" they hired to lay it is the real villain not global warming... I guess that wouldn't sell as many news papers?
