I really enjoyed my 2019 Caribbean cruise http://www.pacifier.com/~jtsmith/V2019.HTM
So much so that I scheduled one for this year, out of Seattle to Alaska and Victoria BC
on https://www.royalcaribbeanpresscenter.com/fact-sheet/28/ovation-of-the-seas/
Then the Coronavirus happened... See http://www.pacifier.com/~jtsmith/Refund.HTM
Looks like I will never be able to cruise again... oh well, I'm not going to risk going against my Doctor's advice by getting on a cruise ship where the current "social distancing" is not really feasable IF anyone on the ship has a virus infection

There are probably not too many environments that would present a bigger risk of spreading a highly infectious virus. Prison maybe? Long haul flights for sure — one of our clusters came from a man who had symtoms and was tested in Australia, but chose to fly to Wellington anyway where he learned the test came back positive!
Had you paid for anything John, and if you did will you get your money back? We were supposed to go to the UK in June and shopped around for the cheapest fair, which means we might be out of luck regarding a refund.

My cruise was cancelled due to Canada closing all ports so I will, some day, get a refund (really high volume of transactions at the cruise office, so the email I received said it may take as much as 30 days)
No more cruising, or flying, in my future... so IF we ever go anywhere again it will be by car... maybe an overnight trip to the Oregon coast, but maybe not even that

what a bummer. I was looking forward to another video file of the cruise like you did on last one. That was really fun to watch ( I put it into cs6 and watched it as I wanted over a couple days ). Well done and fun to watch. It taught me what a cruise is like on like the biggest new cruise ship in the WORLD !
Plus saw nice Giraffes being fed some tree branches by zoo visitors ( John ) and those leaves are like caviar to the Giraffes !
Don't worry, John, this will pass and there will be a vaccine and things will get back to normal. Travel will be your choice based on comfort and curiosity and the adventurous spirits of you and your wife in the future. And you'll love it.
On a side note: since I'm sitting with my laptop and stuff in my apt. a LOT I've noticed my back sometimes assumes an S CURVE. ( like in PPro color correction stuff ). Since following the curves with virus I discovered that the SIGMOID curve(s) is the source of that slang ( S(igmoid)). So I have to say to myself, " SIT UP STRAIGHT ! "
hehe.... 🙂

I just read the above article about the 1st step (mouse testing) of the possibly year long process to develop a human vaccine for Covid-19
Even if/when that process works, any vaccine MAY not be a 100% guarantee of not getting the virus... so, since my Doctor tells me that I am in a high risk group, my cruising & flying days are over
Wife and I will decide sometime later if we want to go somewhere for an overnight trip... Chinook Winds casino on the Oregon coast has entertainment and a resort, so IF there is an act we really want to see, going to a show and staying the night might be an option... or, maybe not... if she decides she doesn't want to be in a crowd, just in case any vaccine is not guaranteed to be 100% effective
We're going to have to wait until late this year or early next year to decide on future travels

Sounds like a good plan !

shooting a 15 sec spot called, " Isolation ".... the most boring 15 seconds in the world.
Here is a reverse of looking out the window... used camera tape for blinds...
