We are looking for sponsors to help us run our seventh annual CovCreative Film Festival and were hoping you could help us.
We have started to organise our seventh film festival, to be held on 12th July 2024 at the prestigious Warwick Arts Centre. Each year, the film festival has expanded to include more Coventry schools, more categories and larger venues, and since Coventry’s City of Culture status in 2021, we have designed it as an event to inspire students to become the future of British film-making.
In the past, many of the films that have been produced by the students here have been entered into local competitions and some even went on to win national competitions. We feel that the film festival is an excellent way to showcase these superb films, and reward our young film-makers for their hard work and tireless effort in a sector of creative education which has been marginalised for a number of years. Between 2016 and 2023, 15 of our students were nominated for national awards for their film-making. A further 8 have gone on to win these awards, and build careers from there. One of our first winners in 2017, Mitoshka Alkova, has since won a National Film and Television Society Award for her documentary work as well as other international prizes. She is just one of a growing number of students from Coventry who have started at the CovCreative Film Festival and since gone on to become professional filmmakers.
As a sponsor, your name and logo will be printed on our program and standees, as well as being promoted at our event. If you would prefer to sponsor a specific prize, please feel free to have a look at the awards on offer at our website which will give you a good flavour of our previous events.
