AOL, which was the last of the major private commercial networks to connect to the internet, after resisting until the very end.

I didn't think dial-up phone service still existed.

Dial type phones won't work on my phone system.

i haven't been getting those aol promo cds via the uspa lately.  no wonder they died.

I don't know about a 'rotary' dial phone, but I have a push button phone connected to the phone line in my xfinity cable modem and it works just fine

My first Internet access was AOL when I had an Apple IIe computer with dial up... my wife could not understand why I had such... now she has a FB account on computer and cell phone and is VERY active on the Internet

AOL.com is still operating.  Just not for folks in rural regions where dial-up was the only option.

The Ballade of Mackie Messer (aka Mack the Knife) is a popular standard show tune from Bertolt Brecht's German musical, The Threepenny Opera (1928). Anyone familiar with 20th century show tunes will likely recognize this, even if they don't know where it came from.

Bobby Darin covered many popular standards during his career, but this one stuck as his signature until Darin's untimely death at 37 from open-heart surgery. 😞
