Wife and I both have Win11 and a recent update removed our file sharing ability
It seems that Microsoft decided to change security settings with the update
(our computers both have wired connections to a Comcast/Xfinity XB8-T modem)
.
So I had to go into settings on both computers to get file sharing to work again
Change to Private Network so other computer may be detected... then In File Manager
Right click Network select Properties, click advanced settings, select All networks
and turn password protected sharing to OFF on both computers to see & share files
