Has anyone ever told you that you look like a certain celebrity? If so, who.
Can you do any celebrity impressions? I do Ethel Merman.
Next time you see me, ask me to do it.
I've been told I look like James Van Der Beek before, but that's probably because we're both tall, white, almost blond, and almost good looking.
Judy Holliday in Born Yesterday
2nd Munchkin in the Lollipop Guild
Judy Holiday is one of the hardest impressions to get right. It's the dumb blonde, combined with Noo Yawk, combined with a stuffed nose.
And she squeaks a little & is totally out of my range so I can't do it for long.
Have you ever seen her in The Solid Gold Cadillac? One of my favorites.
Yup! Big fan.
How about Bells are Ringing -- song "The Party's Over" (film 1960, director Vincent Minnelli)
or The Marrying Kind (1952)?
She was before my time so I never got to see her on stage.
Merman isn't easy to do either. Huge voice, lots of vibrato and a really big personality.
my 13 year old niece dressed up as Merman for Halloween, I must ask what inspired that!
Merman in what? Gypsy? Annie Get Your Gun?
sorry I jumped in too early, she dressed as Rosemary Clooney
Usually people never think they look like the celebrity they are compared to.
I think with a little work you could look like Jared Leto. But not when he played the drag queen in "Dallas Buyer's Club."
I can do different ones... I was told I look like Jackie O.....maybe 30 years ago.
Lets have an impression party at MAX
I'll do at least 8 measures of Ethel Merman. And I'll let anyone pick the song just to prove it's not my only song.
Also sometimes I do Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men.
Ha ha ha... you know I worked on the NY auditions for NBC's Next Best Thing back in the day! People really take impersonations seriously! But it was lot of fun. I really miss working in film, television and commercials in NYC! So many stories I could tell!
Now I am strictly doing Advertising, PR, Events, blah blah blah in Germany. Miss the fun times on set!
