Heaven forbid it's to turn on your computer and go to Adobe Forums website or grab your smartphone. If it's either of those you need a 12 step program and fast.

I guess I had better play after commenting on Barb's post.

  1. Put the kettle on.
  2. Feed the cats if my wife has not already done so.
  3. Take a bunch of pain killers .
  4. Put the heater on in the bathroom — I hesitate to say it is cold here right now with some of you living in Colorado, and Benjamin in Cedar Rapids where it gets properly cold, but I guess it is what you are used to.
  5. Drink tea while reading cable news.  (CNN, Washington Post, Politico, BBC, Bipartisan Report — I keep trying to stop looking at the last one because it so over the top, but even after deleting the bookmark, I keep going to find it again.)
  6. Eat breakfast I made the evening before of an orange, Brazil nuts, walnuts, sunflower seeds, dates and cereal.
  7. By this time I am starting to come out of the withdrawal fog that comes with having to take a lot of pain killers.  I hate mornings because of this.
  8. Check the forums to see if Dave has left me any interesting threads to answer. 
  9. Shower, dress, and on with my day.  Today I am off to the Menz Shed to carry on with a big metal stand for our sheet metal machine.  I love being able to use the machine tools again, although my welding is not what it used to be because of poor eyesight and shaky hands.  But that's what they invented angle grinders for (cleaning up duck poo welds).

Lets start with waking-up -

Drink cup of coffee and listen to relaxing music.

Get out of bed,

Turn on coffee machine, put bread in toaster and set egg to boil.

Bathroom, then -

drink coffee, eat breakfast, listen to music.

After about 2 hours get washed and dressed.

Day begins.

First thing I do is make a smoothie and have a bowl of yogurt and granola.

After that I take a shower,  then check the surf. After I surf or at least I will jump in the ocean I will come home.

Then turn on  the Mac computer on and then open Adobe Animate and play. I love playing around in Adobe Animate

Ha. "Eat the frog" is a phrase used in the business world and Mark Twain once spoke of it. It is a technique to help avoid procrastination. It simply means do the thing that most needs doing (that you would avoid doing) and get it out of the way first thing. 🙂
.
I suppose I could have answered the question with "Open my eyes" or "Shave" or some such but my priority every morning first thing is to "eat the frog". Plus it sounds way more interesting. 🙂

1. Hot weather: turn off AC. 

     Cold weather: turn on furnace.

2. Bathroom.

3. Get  glass of iced tea in hot weather or coffee in cold weather + some fresh fruit.

4. Get newspaper from front lawn, turn on TV and watch a documentary from my Amazon playlist -- approx 45 min.   Off TV.

5. Go to computer.  Open Candy Crush Soda Saga & check my daily bonus.  Play game / fulfill quests for boosters -- approx 30-min to 1 hour.

6. Check e-mail and forums.

7. Make my To-Do List.

8. Start my workday.

1.  Coffee!!!  There is no life in my house without coffee.  Thank goodness my husband makes it before he leaves for work and puts it in the insulated pot so it will still be fresh and hot for me! 

2.  Bathroom, shower, brush teeth... blah, blah, blah.

3.  more coffee, feed the cats

4.  call my mother (she is 83 so I check on her daily)

5. sit down at PC to check e-mail and such.

1.  Shower

2.  Put in false teeth (or is that TMI?)

3.  Get dressed.

4.  Put on kettle

5.  Feed two dogs and a cat who are nagging like mad

6.  Make tea for wife and myself.

7.  Create some kind of breakfast while tea is brewing

8.  Deliver tea to wife who is still in bed

9.  Sit down with tea and breakfast

10.  Open computer with first few sips of tea.   Check email first but as there's always Adobe stuff, that sort of starts my Adobe day.
