Dear Sir / Mam,

Sometimes, while converting a file into pdf, if we follow procedure "A" then we face problem of pdf file with improper fonts (please refer attached file), but if we follow procedure "B", then the file gets properly converted to pdf & all fonts are readable. We are using Adobe Acrobat 9 professional .

Procedure A:-

1. open the file

2. Go to the print session

3. Select "Adobe PDF" as printer

4. click print

Procedure B:-

1. open the file.

2. Click " convert to Adobe"

Regards,

Amit

Actually, what you label as Procedure B is the method recommended by Adobe. It better maintains the fidelity of your original content (I assume that if you have a Convert to Adobe PDF option, you are creating PDF from Microsoft Office applications).

However, I suspect that the issue you are facing in terms of Procedure A is one of the an option of the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver instance that is on by default but could cause problems sometimes. The option is Rely on system fonts only.

Turn this option off and the problem may go away.
