Please help. In some Adobe system files "Serbian" language is mentioned, but how to reach it? It'll be enough to get support for hyphenation of full aligned text.

I don't see Serbian listed in any of my InDesign references, but you can get third party Serbian dictionaries: Woodwing sells Smart Spell and Smart Hyphen, but they're not cheap.

See:

http://www.woodwing.com/en/Smart_Plug-ins

Here's another hyphenation product:

http://www.aextra.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=43&Itemid=67

I don't have any idea how well either of these work.

Thanks John for your time to answer.

I know abouth Woodwing. I know abouth their megaprices, too. That is not what I want and is not what I ask. I just want to activate (or reach) existing, but not visible, options in CS4.

Sorry, but there is absolutely no support, hidden or otherwise, for Serbian in InDesign 6 (CS4). The full list of languages supported can be found at http://www.adobe.com/products/indesign/languages/. The references to "Serbian" that you see may be to license text. It is certainly not ot any spelling or hyphenation support in InDesign.

Thank you for the answer.

I know there is no support for Serbian langugage in CS4. Thatt is the reason I asked the question.

Here is a list of files in InDesign CS4 where I find word "Serbian"

Public.dll

Tagged Text Attributes.apln

Linguistics.rpln

Maybe will be available in some future centuries releases?

I know very little of the differences between Serbian and Croatian, but depending on what writing system you're using for Serbian, might Croatian hyphenation work, or at least be better than nothing? Croatian is supported in InDesign.

You are absolutely right!! I use Croatian settings for a long time. And it

works just fine. The differences are at the most unsignificant, except the

following: As you know, Serbian language supports two writings: Latin and

Cyrillic. Problem appears when I want to rule some long Cyrillic text:

manual work takes too much time. It was only my hope that is or will be

some support for Serbian

Thank you for your time,

best regards, Branislav
