How do I identify Type 1 fonts in my computer (MacBook)?
You can readily determine the format of a font by use of the MacOS built-in FontBook utility.
Select the font you wish to query in FontBook and click on the information icon on the top row (‘i’ inside a circle). The format of the font is indicated as Kind which will indicate either PostScript Type 1, OpenType PostScript (really should be OpenType CFF), TrueType, or OpenType TrueType (also known as OpenType CFF).
