Hi community!

I rarely ask, but often read threads so I realise we are not alone with the same kind of problems,. Please excuse my english/tech language if lacking. I have a new computer with windows 10 (better than 8), office 365 and adobe creative cloud finally last versions, photoshop and illustrator for the moment, as well as typekit (perhaps too early synced). So I got all the fonts bundled with these so far. .

I would like to delete fonts ugly or unuseful for me right now and I am not sure about how to identify their parent or if they are needed for the systeme or other purpose. I know I can sort by some criteria in illustrator but I would like to get rid of more, specially all the "chinese" lettering or unreadable names. I rarely use office so that is not my problem

I read one tutorial on microsoft just explaining how to delete from the fonts folder without any indication, there might be a problem. Have this issue been simplified for us users can I go ahead and delete as I see fit? I have taken a backup copy of the content of the folder, and in that folder the files are more three approx per typeface. I did change from default the visible and univisble check, so maybe I have already altered.

Here the link provided by forum with fonts to leave alone, but from 2012 so maybe outdated?

Are the more fonts bundled with creative cloud, illustrator/ photoshop? the ones called adobe maybe? And should I leave some of the alone?

Any ideas how to organize would be greatly apprecciated:-)

These are Windows system fonts for the most part. We just have to put up with them, because if you remove them Windows may not work correctly. The Windows list is certainly longer than this and removing other fonts can be very bad, especially Verdana and Segoe UI fonts.

Hi MVP!

Yes above is the only old list so far, I have seen of "must keep" fonts. I am aware I should let them be, but I would like to delete others?

Ok thanx then I add Verdana and Segoe ui fonts to the list:-)
