Problem with ITC Franklin Gothic Std display in CS3

Perhaps someone here can verify (or not) a problem we're seeing with an Adobe font. The font is ITC Franklin Gothic Std Book. This is from the Adobe Font Folio 9, so the version number is 1.047;PS 001.003;Core 1.0.38;makeotf.lib1.6.5960
In InDesign and Illustrator CS3, when we type a Registered Sign followed by a Right Double Quotation Mark, the spacing between the two is several times wider than between the Left Double Quotation Mark followed by a Registered Sign. (Photoshop CS3 doesn't show this problem, but it has a different type engine than the others.)
The two characters are:
Name: REGISTERED SIGN
GID: 161
Unicode: 00AE
Name: RIGHT DOUBLE QUOTATION MARK
GID: 117
Unicode: 201D
We're also seeing the same odd spacing in the Demi weight of the typeface.

I can confirm that this is a bug in the ITC Franklin Gothic Std family. The affected fonts are Book, Demi, Demi Compressed Italic and Heavy.
What's happening is that the right side bearing of the registered sign glyph is much larger than the left side bearing. We're asking ITC about fixing this.

Miguel,
Thank for verifying this. We'll have to keep our eyes open for it.

Any update, are ITC going to release a patch/replacement for the font?
