Assuming you mean Type 1 fonts - (as opposed to Truetype)
If it's an OpenType font, yes.
Otherwise, no.
They can be converted, subject to the licensing restrictions
applicable to the particular font.
Font families (multiple styles) aren't interpreted the same way, and
may require internal renaming.
Under Windows 9x/me/NT, Adobe Type Manager is also required for the
use of Type 1 fonts (including Type 1 flavored opentype). Windows XP
and Vista support Type 1 natively.
