I'm doing a project for my typography class in school and the instructions say this.

"create one paragraph example duplicated in four point sizes: 8/10, 9/11, 10/12, 11/13"

So I have my paragraph, duplicated in four, but the problem is I have no idea what these point sizes mean? or what they're referring to? Does anybody have any idea, and if so how can I achieve these point sizes. Thanks!

How you specify these varies substantially between applications.
